Urban Bard Productions is a new theatre company with a mandate to produce high-calibre theatre, accessible and compelling to a Toronto audience, with a focus on outdoor and site-specific work.

 

To date Urban Bard has surprised residents and visitors of this fine city with how relevant theatre can be by bringing the arts into their world using spaces they least expect and revealing the cultural value inherent in our own urban landscape.

 

Urban Bard also seeks to achieve these goals:

     - Create circumstances for wider public participation and access

     - Create a dynamic company that encourages opportunity and growth

        for  local professional artists

     - Work with schools to provide opportunities for youth to expand

        their theatrical technical and entrepreneurship skills
